Abstract

This study provides a comprehensive overview of the issues encountered in physics education research in Indonesia, focusing on Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, Creativity, and Innovation. Its goal is to comprehensively outline the problems and challenges in physics education, categorized by student level, research methodology, and the chronological development of problem-solving strategies. The data analysis employs descriptive qualitative analysis through a literature review, gathering information from 30 articles sourced from ScienceDirect, Semantic Scholar, Google Scholar, Mendeley Reference, ResearchGate, and other platforms. The study presents descriptive findings based on the analysis of these 30 articles, examining challenges in physics education and offering insights. The research findings can serve as valuable guidance and reference for future studies in similar domains. Ultimately, the study concludes that physics education in Indonesia faces complex challenges that impact the effectiveness of teaching scientific concepts in schools. © 2026 Author(s).
