Abstract

Intermediate Temperature Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (IT-SOFCs) are a potential technology currently being studied due to their high efficiency, low emissions, and adjustability. In order to determine the future of sustainable energy solutions, it is crucial to comprehend the latest trends and developments in IT-SOFC research. The goal of this analysis is to advance our collective understanding of the fascinating and quickly developing topic of intermediate-temperature solid oxide fuel cells and to inspire future research possibilities. The study used descriptive research with the bibliometric method of analysis. The Scopus database served as the research's primary source. Vosviewer software is used for the analysis, enabling the organizing and retrieving a large quantity of research data. Using the keywords "intermediate-temperature AND solid AND oxide AND fuel AND cell"with a time range of 2013-2023. In conclusion, the analysis reveals several key insights into the publication research trend on "Intermediate-Temperature Solid Oxide Fuel Cells"(IT-SOFC) in the last decade. SOFCs encompass both high-temperature and intermediate-temperature variants. This distinction is essential in the context of bibliometric analysis, as it allows researchers to explore how IT-SOFCs contribute to or differ from the broader SOFC research landscape. In essence, the research trend on IT-SOFCs over the past decade reflects the intersection of technological advancements, sustainability goals, and the ever-evolving landscape of materials and energy research. Researchers and policymakers are driven by these factors to explore new avenues and innovative solutions in the field of fuel cell technology. © 2026 Author(s).
