A wireless water flow data acquisition system was developed for leakage detection in a closed channel pipeline system. The G 1-1/4 Hall-effect water flow sensor was used to monitor water flow. The pulse train was transferred from the sensor as a frequency input to the micro-controller (ATMEGA 328). Then, the data was transferred with Blue-tooth wireless serial communication from the micro-controller to a Personal Computer (PC). Finally, the water flow monitoring system was shown and displayed using LabVIEW on PC. The accuracy of wireless water flow measurement is 99.98%. During the time that the pipeline system was found leakage, the flow of water changed according to value of pipeline leak. The accuracy for detection of leakage on pipeline water is 97.89%. © 2015 American Scientific Publishers. All Rights Reserved.
