Abstract

Laboratory carries an essential role for the academic activities in an educational institution. The number of facilities, hardware, and supporting items in it makes staff or technicians have difficulty in taking notes. Manual recording is frequently done experiences problems. Therefore, computerized records are expected to anticipate existing issues. This study proposes a smart and interactive laboratory management system. This system can provide various laboratory conditions and recommendations for replacing inventory items by utilizing the Support Vector Machine algorithm. The average level of accuracy produced by this system reaches 96.69% with two folds cross-validation. The high degree of accuracy makes the user's trust increase in using the system. © 2021 IEEE.
