Quality education in the future can be created with comprehensive and continuous improvement. The role of students is very important to be involved in improving education. Aspirations conveyed by students can be used as material for evaluation and determining campus policies. One of them is the students of the Department of Electrical Engineering (JTE), which is one of the departments at the Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Unesa). The purpose of this study was to determine the future educational aspirations of JTE Unesa students in welcoming Unesa as a Legal-Entity Higher Education Institution (PTN-BH). The results of this study are analyzed so that they can be used as a reference for future education. In addition, these results can also be used as educational evaluation material at the Faculty of Engineering (FT) Unesa. The research method applied is descriptive qualitative. This study uses a questionnaire distributed to JTE students. The results of the research conducted show JTE students agree that the education that has been held at Unesa is good. However, there are many aspirations submitted by students to improve education for the future. Unesa students agreed to change Unesa's status from the Public Service Agency (BLU) to PTN-BH. © 2021 IEEE.
