Abstract

software-defined network (SDN) provides the answer to the need for flexibility in networking. However, in addition to flexibility, the need for quality of service (QoS) also needs to be prioritized, considering that QoS is not a standard or basic service provided by computer networks. The need for QoS, especially for delay-sensitive applications, is absolute. In this paper, we discuss QoS modeling with a queuing mechanism for multimedia streaming. Performance testing uses a modeling approach to provide ease of analysis. The results of trials show that the queuing technique can provide quality assurance services on the SDN network. © 2021 IEEE.
