This research is the development of a sea surface temperature thermometer developed based on the Internet of Things (IoT) using the DS18B20 Sensor. The DS18B20 sensor is suitable for measuring temperature in damp and wet places. So the researchers took the initiative to develop the DS18B20 sensor which is used as a tool for measuring temperature at sea level. With the aim of: Analyzing the results of the design of work systems, calibration values and the level of accuracy of designing sea surface temperature measuring instruments based on the Internet of Things (IoT). The results of the research show that 1) This research produces an Internet of Things (IoT)-based sea surface temperature measuring instrument with a working system using the DS18B20 sensor which is sent to the NodeMCU ESP 8266 microcontroller in the form of a digital signal, with an internet connection NodeMCU ESP8266 sends data to the ThingSpeak Web Server, 2) The results of testing the working system of the Internet of Things (IoT)-based sea surface temperature measurement tool were 99.81%. © 2026 Author(s).
