Textiles produce one of the biggest wastes that have become a global issue lately. The manufacture of clothing products without waste is an effort to make sustainable products. Pattern making with the principle of zero waste to produce aesthetically viable clothing designs is a challenge for today's fashion designers. Zero waste fashion design is a concept that seeks to eliminate wasted fabric from clothing production by developing designs that utilize all of the fabric or minimize waste of fabric leftover. This paper aims to design clothing that does not produce waste in the cutting process. There are many ways to create zero waste fashion, one of which is the square pattern cutting approach. Making a square cut pattern demands to pay attention to take advantage of the overall width of the fabric, while the length of the fabric follows the desired design. Square cropping patterns produce loose squares and A-line silhouettes in a variety of sizes, from medium to extra large. The biggest challenge in making zero-waste fashion is the need to experiment with cutting and connecting parts of the pattern which can produce new designs.first, second, and third level headings (first level heading © 2023 Author(s).
