Scientific argumentation in physics learning is essential in the learning process because it can spur critical thinking skills in solving scientific problems and gaining a better understanding of a problem. This study aims to analyze the tendency of scientific argumentation research in physics learning. Including descriptive research types using bibliometric analysis methods with Scopus database sources from 2018 to 2022. The sample consisted of 2187 documents. The results showed a significant increase in research trends throughout the five decades, and it can be predicted that there will be a dramatic increase in the next ten years. Scientific argumentation becomes the core of the education and learning process and becomes an attraction among policymakers. Conclusion Scientific argumentation in physics learning is a research trend for researchers worldwide, especially in Indonesia, which dominates research publications related to scientific arguments. © 2026 Author(s).
