Abstract

Purpose: Using digital student workbook is one of the practical pedagogical methods that can be used in language learning. This study aimed to design a modular teaching module, systematically in the context of BIPA (Bahasa Indonesia untuk Penutur Asing or), including appropriate teaching materials. Methodology: This study adopted the modular approach based on the ADDIE model for BIPA learning, especially in stimulating students’ communicative skills. Findings: The implementation of the ADDIE's five-phase model of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation that have been implemented proved that the designed digital student workbook gained positive result from the students as well as the BIPA learners. Further, the validation from the expert also showed very good impression. Implications for Research and Practice: The product from this research and development is potential for BIPA learning in Indonesia higher education context. © 2023 Ani Publishing Ltd.
