Abstract

Policy formulation textbooks are important to optimize the result of a study from college students. Textbooks are really important for students and lecturers as a guide or reference in the learning process. The textbook expected that students' understanding of learning material would be easy to reach. This understanding is important due to the competency that the subjects want to achieve. Related to that, so the textbook's position has a central role, so that’s why every subject developed in the curriculum of study program must develop a textbook as well. This research aims to analyze the impact of policy formulation textbooks developed through ADDIE (Analysis-Design-Develop-Implement-Evaluate) development methods that serve step by step design and mapping to the whole learning design to support the learning performances. The Informants were chosen from students in the academic community due to their college's timeline while studying policy formulation subjects, and reviewers consist of fellow lecturers who are considered capable of the science of textbooks. The quantitative method analysis would be used to quickly see the impact on the students' learning achievement. According to analysis for the needs of study result optimalization, the conclusion that can be drawn is that textbooks have an important role in supporting the understanding of policy formulation subjects. © 2023 American Institute of Physics Inc..
