Optimizing the ferris wheel physics e-book with video tracking method to enhance student learning motivation

Abstract

This research aims to (1) analyze the validity of the physics E-book based on the Ferris Wheel game assisted by Tracker Video Analysis to increase student learning motivation (2) analyze the practicality of the physics E-book based on the Ferris Wheel game assisted by Tracker Video Analysis to increase student learning motivation (3) analyze the effectiveness of a physics e-book based on the Ferris Wheel game assisted by Tracker Video Analysis to increase student learning motivation. Previously, edutainment e-books based on the Ferris Wheel and video tracking analysis in physics learning were not widely developed. Therefore, this study develops them by using the ADDIE method. Experts for feasibility testing have validated the Ferris Wheel Physics E-book result and show a percentage of 85% in the very category proper to use. The results of student responses to the use of the Ferris Wheel Physics E-book were a percentage of 88%, getting an excellent response from students in learning. Based on the student learning motivation analysis, the average N-gain value was 0.78 in the "High" category, and students received an excellent response in learning physics, increasing their learning motivation. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing.
