Abstract

Technology adoption in the adoption of digital payments has become the focus in changing consumer behavior and financial innovation. ShopeePay is a digital wallet that is widely used by young people in Indonesia. The adoption of technology is influenced by various factors. Digital financial literacy is believed to have a moderating effect. Therefore, the focus of this study is to identify the role of digital financial literacy as a moderating variable in the influence of relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, and observability on behavioral intention to use ShopeePay. A quantitative approach was selected for this research. A number of 100 students who are users of ShopeePay were chosen as respondents. Data analysis was conducted using the SEM method with the assistance of SmartPLS 4.0 software. Two tests were performed: the outer and inner model evaluations. The results show that digital financial literacy does not strengthen the relationship between RA, C, CO, and O with BIU. The influence of relative advantage on behavioral intention to use ShopeePay with digital financial literacy as a moderating variable is negative and insignificant. Meanwhile, the influence on other variables, namely compatibility, complexity, and observability, has a positive and insignificant effect. © 2024 IEEE.
