Abstract

This article discusses the system analysis of the dynamics of sedimentation rate by considering environmental factors. The modeling begins with constructing a seagrass growth model as a bioindicator of sedimentation rate based on dredging. The model is analyzed by looking for balance and stability points. Understanding the sedimentation behavior is imperative in determining their stability with varying the sedimentation dredging, a numerical simulation was carried out. The dredging parameter of numerical results shows that there is a Hopf bifurcation at H=0.044121 and a Saddle-Node bifurcation at H=0.089756. Dredging can stabilize the sedimentation rate and growth of seagrasses in the ecosystem over a long period of time. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.
