The era of modern industry and technology, electricity plays a vital role in supporting human activities. The state-owned electricity company, Perusahaan Asli Negara (PLN), increased the total installed capacity to 44,939.88 MW in 2022. Transformers, as critical components in electrical distribution, transform electrical voltage from high to low to meet diverse load requirements. Analyzing the influence of time on peak loads and transformer load percentages becomes essential in optimizing the performance of the electrical power system. Peak loads are influenced by time as existing fluctuations tend to stabilize, both in conditions of the highest and lowest peak loads. An increase in the load on each transformer can lead to decreased efficiency. Therefore, research is conducted to measure the load percentage of Transformer 1 at PLN GIS 150 kV Gunungsari Surabaya based on time, specifically on weekdays and weekends. The research results reveal differences in the load levels between weekdays and weekends, with the peak load on weekdays reaching 8.52% and on weekends registering at 8.15%. This phenomenon indicates a higher peak load on weekdays. High peak load situations also commence at 07:00, reach a minimum at 06:00, and peak at 18:00. © 2026 Author(s).
