Abstract

ARTICLE HIGHLIGHTS • Fe@Si/zeolite Na (ZNA) composites were synthesized with cores derived from natural materials using a simple in situ hydrothermal method. • The formation of a zeolite Na structure in the composites by the addition of Fe3O4@SiO2 particles enhanced the curcumin encapsulation and adsorption capacity. • The cumulative loading of curcumin in the composite was 90.70% with a long half-life of 32.49 min, and tests with curcumin loading showed that the composite has increased stability. © 2024 Author(s).
