Efforts to improve household safety have led to the development of crucial LPG gas leak detection tools. This research aims to create a reliable detection system using the MQ-2 sensor, which is sensitive to LPG gas and controlled via Arduino IDE. The integration with the STEAM platform seeks to enhance user understanding of gas leak dangers and prevention methods. The Research and development methodology follows the ADDIE model, encompassing analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The prototype successfully identifies LPG gas levels exceeding safety standards, providing a fast and accurate response to leaks through Arduino IDE technology. The tool has the potential to significantly reduce the risk of fire or explosion from LPG gas leaks in households. By incorporating the STEAM approach, the research aims to increase public awareness about gas dangers, reducing the incidence of LPG gas leak-related accidents. © 2025 Author(s).
