Abstract

Wisdom local that is embedded in life society must be preserved and can be become a Learning resources for students to be included in the physics learning process. One of wisdom local the that is wisdom local Ketupat Eid. Ketupat is one of them food very popular specialty consumed by Indonesian people. Ketupat itself is food traditional Indonesian made from wrapped rice with webbing coconut leaves or leaves coconut leaf. Because not yet there is related research matter Therefore, this research was carried out with The aim is to analyze the physics concepts contained in wisdom local making ketupat, closely related traditions with celebration Eid. This research is qualitative research and the data is analyzed in a way descriptive - results of this research obtained from the processing of ketupat with identify physics concepts. When electing coconut leaves or coconut leaves for making ketupat there is a concept of modulus of elasticity, In the election process dose In rice, there is also the concept of pressure hydrostatic and osmotic pressure. In the process of boiling ketupat there are Archimedes' law. When boiling ketupat will changed color there is the concept of the law of thermodynamics. In the cooling and reduction process water content is present Laws of Thermodynamics and Pascal's Law. Conclusions from this research show importance appreciate and understand connection between tradition local and scientific knowledge, bring benefit for development culture and knowledge in the future. © 2026 Author(s).
