Abstract

Planning learning is important for teachers to carry out learning efficiently. For experienced teachers, a simple lesson plan can be developed into a meaningful lesson. However, for prospective or novice teachers, the implementation of learning can be very different from the lesson plans that have been prepared. This research was conducted to identify what improvements need to be made to the lesson plan so that the lesson plan can be utilized to the fullest for prospective teachers. The study results indicate that, generally, written learning activities can confuse prospective teachers when it comes to carrying out learning. This makes prospective teachers miss out on important steps in the mathematical literacy process. They often focus only on using mathematics concepts to solve the problems while teaching, leaving formulating situations and evaluating the result process which are very necessary for students to learn. Therefore, it is necessary to write more detailed learning activities so that learning from prospective teachers or slightly experienced teachers can be carried out more optimally. © 2025 Author(s).
