Students' mathematical communication skills are crucial to mathematics learning, enabling them to effectively explain concepts, articulate thoughts, and solve problems. This study aims to describe students' mathematical communication skills in solving mathematical problems related to the material on Systems of Linear Equations in Three Variables based on students' mathematical abilities. The research categorizes students' mathematical skills into three criteria: high, medium, and low. The study was conducted in a tenth-grade class at a private high school in Batu, where three students were selected as subjects and one student for each criterion of mathematical ability. The selection of subjects was based on the results of students' daily tests, chosen by the teacher. Data collection techniques in this study included administering mathematical ability tests and conducting interviews. This type of research is descriptive qualitative, so the data will be described and analyzed qualitatively. The study shows that students with high and moderate abilities can meet all the criteria for mathematical communication. In contrast, subjects with low abilities could only fulfill two indicators: converting information into related mathematical models. © 2025 Author(s).
