Abstract

Achievement indices in the education system in the world, on average, have several forms. The most commonly used form of achievement index is GPA (Grade Point Average), or in Indonesian, better known as IPK (Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif). GPA is a system used to assess student performance during one semester. The system that assesses students at the scope of the course is called the final grade index. In achieving a satisfactory final grade index, students have various common obstacles such as self-management, campus environment, sitting position, food, and exercise. Therefore, research was conducted on the relationship between student behavior or lecture style and the final grade index obtained to see the most influential factors. This research uses the K-Means algorithm and the elbow method. The result of using these methods is the clustering of three categories of student lifestyle including Good, Very Good, and Excellent. The clustering is analyzed using the final grade index obtained. So, it is obtained that the aspects that most influence students in achieving a satisfactory final grade index are self-management, friendship environment, and sitting position. © 2025 Author(s).
