This research aims to develop STEM learning media in the form of Arduino-based air pollution detection devices in biology learning to determine the feasibility of the tools development. This research focuses on the use of the 4-D development model. The research subjects were biology students of class X SMAS Kartika IV-3 Surabaya, a many of 25 students. Based on the validation results conducted by validators, it was found that the quality of STEM media was in very good category, with a percentage of 96.7% to be used in biology learning. The trial was conducted by conducting a practicum using an Arduino-based air pollution detection device in biology learning, and obtained the results of a response questionnaire with a percentage of 93.3%, or very good criteria. Thus, STEM media in the form of Arduino-based air pollution detection devices are very feasible to use in biology learning. © 2025 The Authors, published by EDP Sciences.
